SHiFT is a new approach to simplifying how businesses and job seekers with disabilities connect. Companies are struggling to find enough qualified candidates to meet their human resource needs. With the vast talent pool of individuals with disabilities (1 in every 5 people), SHiFT offers a unique approach to matching candidates with businesses through a variety of matching criteria.
Resumes don't tell the whole story about an individual's capabilities and job descriptions don't always convey the total picture of what a company is looking for in an employee. The goal of SHiFT is to help companies find great employees who happen to have a disability and help people with disabilities find great jobs and careers.
SHiFT is a product of the Disability Inclusion of Greater Kansas City (Disability:IN GKC), with development funded by a grant from the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC).
The Disability Inclusion of Greater Kansas City (Disability:IN GKC) is one of the 50+ affiliate chapters of the United States Business Leadership Network (USBLN). We advance disability inclusion by providing the business community with tools, resources and solutions that drive employee hiring, engagement and performance.
